We were ISTE and we could not be more excited! A full week of with the our team to experience the joy!

At the Joy of Professional Learning we believe our recipes engage educators in professional practice. We are committed to planning sessions throughout the year that are new and emerging learning opportunities combined with days to practice what we learned as a team. Professional Learning can be a combination of the 2, new learning and professional practice.

“Better doesn’t mean more. Better means generous, sustainable, worthy. Better means connection and quality and opportunity, too.”
Join us in professional practice as we take our learning experiences to new heights.

We spread the joy over our 4 days in several workshops, our full day academy experience, and the playground

As professional learning planners we create learning adventures for teachers and learners first. Generating the same excitement that we want our students to feel  when they are learning, is how we model learning first.

On Saturday our first joy of professional learning workshop kicked off the event. Three hours of learning with leaders including superintendents, principals, curriculum coordinators and coaches were fully engaged in professional learning and planning for back to school.

On Sunday our 8 hour learning journey in the iPad Teacher Academy featured the iPad as our favorite tool for creating content.

Wednesday we got down some serious play on the Apple Distinguished Educator playground. ADEs of around the world came to participate and share their stories from the classroom. Over 1000 ISTE educators had a joyful learning experience!

When we learn through play we build muscle memory and then we can re-create the same experiences for our students!
